Actually, we had two tornados last night. One was very close to us (maybe a half mile north) and traveled from Arlington 4.4 miles downtown to the Mall (16th and Constitution). It was an EF-1 (90 MPH). The second originated downtown just northeast of the Capitol and traveled along H St. That one was an EF-0 (80 MPH). We really did have a couple of ferocious storms and about 2" of rain.

I drove up to Durango from Hou ston yesterday with new puppy on board. The rains kept the weather cooler than expected, The temps are much more comfortable here in the Four Corners than in Houston. Mid 50s at night.

You mean of the skies before the tornado? Unfortunately, it was raining so hard we could not see anything outside the windows.

Rain and cold (for the time of year) had the heat on in the car coming home last night.

Wearing jeans, and a long sleeve shirt on July 4th doesn't seem right! 63 degrees at the present time.
