These people belong to a Uto-Aztecan culture in Mexico, the Raramuri. I have been researching their unwritten language for some years. That is quite a story. Thank you for sharing it. I had not heard of this before. But, it kind of reminds me of the story of Rosie Rosenthal Another true American hero.

.... And we wonder why we have shootings at schools, school board meetings and other learning facilities? I for one am not a fan of desensitizing of people to violent acts. One study, which I have forgotten which group did it, estimates that by the time the average American reaches their eighteenth birthday has witness over 18 thousand acts of violence on TV.

IMHO that is a far cry from "Father Knows Best". No wonder things are so F****d up.
