Totalllllllly Amazing!!!!! I'm really sorry I'm so darned old. I'd love to be young and poised to learn all the new technology that's out there now. It just boggles my mind. I have a hard time using my cell phone. Anything more than that and a plain old regular computer and I'm a basketcase. Yay for these folks. Great stuff.

No, dear you are not old. That is nothing more than a modern version of the harmonica. Did I spell that right? I'm old, so forgive me. This new electronic stuff is neat. I was playing with an iPad a couple days ago at Best Buy. When us Vintage folks get together we make music. It's just we don't get together enough.

This is both depressing and amazing. After looking at an email with some wonderful images of Detroit iron from the 1950s, I made the mistake of watching this video that was filmed in Dresden. If my memory is correct, that city suffered more casualties than the Nagasaki or Hiroshima as a result of massive fire bombing. Yet, look at it now. Detroit is in ruins and the only hope in sight is Fiat and the federal government. ugggh.

I'm not sure I'm up to speed on my IPad like these folks, cool video anyway!
That was way Thanks for sharing this video.

The I-Pad seems to be a game changer. I would have one if it were not for the subscription fees to access the 3G network.

BTW, IMHO it really torques me out of shape that Verizon is advertising their 4 G network when they DO NOT meet the ITU standard for 4G. IMHO this is blatant misrepresentation.

Although my comments may not be popular with those in Michigan I have two thoughts about this:

1. GM Management (or lack there of IMHO). Paying people not to work is not a brilliant business strategy.
2. The UAW that caused the cost of every GM vehicle to raise about $1400 to cover the cost of legacy retirement and health care benefits.

IMHO it was a combination of the UAW holding GM hostage as well as poor management decisions that ruined GM.

I was raised in a GM family and bought my last GM vehicle in 1977. As I have posted before my 1969 Firebird had a trunk that would fill up with about an inch of water or more whenever it rained because the rear window leaked. The tail light sockets had to be replaced about every six months or so because the tail light assemblies leaked and would rust out. With my G-20 Van. after about a year the wall to wall carpet became an area rug because it pulled away from the trim panels at the door jambs. I have owned Honda's and Toyota's ever since.

This VIDEO is a nice graphic representation of the changing economies and health of nations over the last two hundred years.

I found it thought provoking.

I don't know how to embed a YouTube video (maybe someone else can do it for me), but this seems appropriate for this season:
