^^^^^ Great find Dave. It must have been quite an experience for Franchitti knowing what he actually driving around in.

I guess that the closest experience that I have had was in 1983 when I was given a tour of Bell Helmets archive and held the helmet that Mark Donuhue was wearing when he was killed.

Matt, since you are a GT-40 lover I thought I would paste this one that someone sent me. I also know you would condem such driving as I do. Vette Z06 playing with Ford GT40 with speeds up to 160 mph on I-94 in the Detroit area.

SEs -- not cool at all. For one thing you never know what gramps in the Corolla up ahead is going to do next.

(Ha ha, S2kBilly has a Ford GT like that. It does sound good!)

180 in daddy's Ferrari! Back a zillion years ago I drove an XK-E type around the century and half mark. Not very smart but as you said, it was legal. And, believe it or not I had to pull over for a couple cars with the initials MB.

Just for the sake of argument:

If I bought some heels like that could I do 180 in my 150 gear limited S2000? It doesn't come up often but I'd like to know.

You are correct. As there is a time and a place for everything. This was not one of those times.

The starting point is the "Jack Ass" in the Ford is not using his turn signals properly at the start.

It is impossible to tell but the only thing that I may come up with in their defense is the "California" driving law that states that if one's actions causes another driver to change speed or direction one can be ticketed for their actions" I do NOT know if this law is still in effect but it was when we had to pass the California Drivers Test back in 1983. I like the fact that California did not care if one got your license yesterday, one had to pass the California drivers test to get a license. Of course today that is probably out the window as it is "unfair" to ethnic groups that can not read English.
