Speaking of flying, my next door neighbor, who is a retired United Air Lines captain, sent me this video. For those of us who fly (even not in the airlines), and for those who trust their life to the flight crew, I think this video is especially meaningful. (It was prepared by a retiring Continental Air Lines captain.)

The Enya song as the soundtrack adds to the impact, IMO.

Matt, it is a sad commentary on modern life that we have to be subjected to this kind of "security." IMO, it's all for show. There are so many other ways that a flight could be compromised. The ultimate insult is that the flight crew can be subjected to this as well.

I miss traveling to Germany as I used to. It is perhaps my favorite European country. Besides, I have never been to Hamburg.
