As some of you know (and can maybe tell from my avatar) I am an aviation buff. If I could afford it, I would be flying general aviation or Experimental aircraft now. But as others can attest the cost of staying current is a bit pricey.

With that stated: I have had the pleasure of flying a Big Stearman (450 HP) model as well as doing aerobatics in it as well as two different 220 HP Stearmans . In addition to a couple of different Grob S2 sail planes (gliders). The ultimate ride would be in the back seat of one of the Navy's Blue Angel's planes that they have for PR flights. Typically given to local TV newscaster's or other celebrity figures before the Blue Angels preform at a location.

I have contacted both the Blue Angels and my Congressman that I am willing to travel any where at my expense to experience one of these rides like THIS RIDE

I have a long time friend that is really into Christmas. The year before last he had a Christmas light display that had 83,000 lights controlled by several controllers. His neighbors on the Caldu-Sac where he lives threatened to sue him if he did another display. Even though he only had it turned on from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM each night, the local county police had to come out to direct traffic.

He has sent me a video of the preview of the display that he has programmed this year at the Bull Run Regional Park near Manassas, VA. According to him each minute of programming takes about one hour to do. Let alone the time it takes to set up the thousands of LED's.

Turn on your speakers, turn up the volume and enjoy both shows.

Just like the real thing this VIDEO of flying the world's largest scale RC airplane takes a team to fly it.

I wonder how much fuel it sucks up having four engines?

This Un-cool VIDEO may remind me of why I failed High School chemistry when doing the experiment where one is suppose to separate Oxygen from water not the Hydrogen. I captured one test tube of Oxygen not the two we were suppose to and filled the other test tube with the separated Hydrogen. When the teacher came around and stuck the smoldering splint into the first test tube of Oxygen it immediately burst into flame, as it should. When she blew the flame out and inserted the smoldering splint into the test tube full of Hydrogen it blew up (did not shatter, but just flew out of her hand) and scared the hell out of her.

However, in today's environment of home grown and other terrorist groups I am not sure that we need to be showing videos like this as training aids for people in countries that may not have High School chemistry classes to attend.

Be careful if you live near someone as ingenious as this guy.

This VIDEO shows how to build an inexpensive super spy camera.

Make certain to pull your shades or curtains.

Geez, it's a web cam. We can only hope that someone doesn't figure out a way to stream it here to Vintage?
