In my opinion, it is a "classic example" of "just because one can afford "something" it does NOT mean that you deserve to own it".

I am reasonably certain that lots of us have examples of this with people that we run across. I had a former co-worker that owned several cars over the years that I thought were pretty cool (I.E. a 300 ZX). As I found out on one of our business trips to Germany, while driving on the Autobahn when he started screaming like a three old girl when I hit 180 KPH (113.4 MPH), as it turned out he had never been over 85 MPH.

I am reminded of the bumper sticker (I think that Triple H posted it) "Corvettes are for seniors". When was the last time you saw someone driving a Corvette on the road even anywhere close to above the speed limit? Even on an exit ramp? Just because one can afford a Z06 does not mean that they deserve to have one. On the other hand, I suppose that there are some people that would say that same thing about me owning an S2000. As I have only had it "out of shape" twice on the track. Once in the wet at Beaverrun at FCT04 and once at a track day at Summit Point in 2008.

Those of us that are pilots or aviation enthusiast probably embrace Capt "Sully" as a hero. This http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=tE_5eiYn0D0#t=109 replays why he is was cool under pressure and that he managed to pull off the "Miracle on the Hudson".

The very first logo that the company used featured Sir Isaac Newton sitting under a tree. There's an apple, of course. It's about to fall on Sir Isaac Newton's head.

This logo was designed by Ronald Wayne. He was also a founder of Apple. No one knows about him, though. In 1976, he sold his stake in Apple for $800. Today, his stake would have been worth around $22 billion. Ouch!

If you have a minute, learn more about this and how 77-year-old Ron Wayne lives now in Pahrump, Nevada. Click here to watch the video

How would you feel if you did what he did?
