That's funny Matt; what's even funnier is I was at the same site tonight for this one......

The guy shooting this video is deer hunting from his tree stand,
when an adult-aged black bear mosey's into the clearing directly
below his tree.

What the bear does when it looks up the tree and sees the hunter may surprise
you. I personally think its an "oh crap!" moment, but this guy has got to be one
cool customer ... either that, or he had a video camera in one hand and a .44
magnum in the other!

The moral of this story must be ... "if confronted by an adult-aged black bear,
just be calm and act cool ... then merely ask the bear a question."

Ya gotta turn your audio up so you can hear this, Ya just won't believe it unless you hear it for yourself!!

Let me start by stating that I do NOT think that this video is COOL. It is a bit creepy. It is about fate, however, I am not a religious person so I am NOT posting this for it's religious content.

For what it is worth he made one comment about being on "borrowed time" that hit home with me. For those of you that do not know this on 11 Sep 01 I was on United Airlines flight 1235 from Washington Dulles Airport (KIAD) to Denver on a United Boeing 767, on my way to a conference at Fort Hauchucha, AZ, that morning. We did not get off the ground due to a problem with the rudder. I will not bore you with the details again.

Fast forward to the Spring Fling meet at Cape May in 2009. We are standing in groups of males and females at the cocktail reception at the Grand Hotel when someone asked MD Rocket where he was on 9-11 and he told his story that at that time Vera was stationed at the Pentagon and he was in Germany and could not get in touch with her until after 21:00 hours due to the problems with the telecommunications line that day. When I told him that he and Vera were "one step" closer than I was and explained what I meant. He shouted out to Vera that Matt was on Sherry's flight. As fate would have it I was on the flight that Vera's friend Sherry was on as her last flight as a flight attendant. According to what they told me, after the FBI interviewed the flight crew, their were four terrorist on that that flight and we were suppose to be the fifth plane that day. She never flew again. I have a distinct memory of the person in the seat in front of me seeming to be REALLY UPSET about the delay and he stood up and pulled out a master flight directory published by the Air Line Traffic Flight Directory Association. I thought it was a bit weird at the time, but just thought that he was upset about missing a important business meeting that he was headed too.

Flats, There where some pretty tight squeezes through the trees in spots. It seems that he (not his ATV) ran out of "gas" towards the end?

I have long considered off road riding and Moto Cross to be "motorized self abuse". I also have a long time female friend that does not consider race driver athletes because "the machine does all of the work". I have been trying to get her to go to our local in door karting track so she can "let the kart do all of the work.
