How does a wheel come off... sheared something on one of its across the median trips?
that looked too deliberate. kinda like the yutz that drove his Bugatti into the bay but didn't know anyone was running a video camera.

No more parking tickets for Tesla Model S owners. Today we’re introducing: ticket-avoidance-mode. Watch how it works.

When you have thirteen minutes to spare I think that most of you will get a real chuckle from watching this VIDEO.

FWIIW I think that most of us (especially the guys) will be able to relate to the point of this poem that tells a story. I was impressed that he remembered it all.

As for me, I am reminded of one of my last DIY projects: Changing the transmission (MTF) lube in our 2008 Honda Fit's five speed gear box. Not having a lift, it took me longer to jack the car up and get it level on jack stands, and back down again in several stages (as my low profile floor jack can not reach the front center lift point when it is on the ground) than to actually change the MTF. Then after breaking several of the plastic snap holders that secure the splash pan I discovered just how expensive they are to replace.

I also discovered another perfect example that one can tell that the person (engineer) that designed the transmission fill and drain plug positions knew that he/she would never have to actually do this procedure. Even though, there is a torque specification for both plugs one cannot even get one click out of the ratchet on a torque wrench to tighten them, because there is just not enough room.

Care to share your "maple syrup" like experience?

Matt, that was great! Maybe sometime I'll post one of my similar stories.

Patty & Murph: Here's a video from the Dragon this past weekend, by S2000Gurl (Leighanne). Makes me want to go back, but I just got home.

(You've got to watch in full screen! What a great road.)

That quickly reminded me why I hate traveling in caravans. I would have been going nuts in that lineup at that pace.

Gene, Is S2000Gurl the young woman that works in the shop at Deals Gap? She was behind me the last time that I drove the dragon (2013) and was as frustrated as I was that a guy (and his dog) in a "pick em truck" several vehicles ahead of us would not pull off, and let us by, for anything in the world.

The "telemetry" coupled with the video and GPS setup that she has is pretty cool. I wonder about that setup? Costs, etc.

On a different note: If one paid attention to her accelerometer that often registered about .75 G's, one can really appreciate that an F1 Car can corner and brake at 4 G's these days.
