As a follow up to my previous post about batteries. I also sent out an E-mail to friends about the post, and received this back from a long time friend that lives on Long Island that I have known since High School.
I have been happy with Kirkland products (and have NEVER had to take advantage of their money back, no questions asked guarantee). As I responded to my friend, I doubt that Costco has their own battery plant, and therefore probably partner with what ever major brand that they sell in their stores (which happens to be Duracell).
He responded:
Matt,Saw a segment on the six o'clock news 're batteries. Kirkland alkaline batteries were as good as any other alkaline and for a lot less. Considered a "best buy". Lithium batteries will last longer, but cost quite a lot more money. Personally, Kirkland is all we buy and we use them in our holiday candles too.Carl
P.S. When Costco could no longer sell the Hewbrew National Hot Dogs and a soda for $1.50 they did open their own hot dog plant (in the Mid-West) to continue to sell all beef hot dogs and a soda (even though they changed vendors for the drinks to do so). According to the MSNBC documentary that I watched they produce almost two million hot dogs a year. However, another source shows that they sold almost 82 million world wide. The price has remained the same since 1985 if I remember correctly.

Yes, Talia kneads me. She has a thing for my nightgowns. She will sit on my lap, when I'm at my desk, and knead my lap and suck on the fabric. I have learned to keep a hand towel on my desk to put between my leg and the fabric so her claws don't carve me as much. Zion, my Siamese, kneads the furry type throw blankets on the couch, sometimes, but doesn't suck them. I think they're both adorable.
^I took these on Aug. 29, 2014.
