I salute all the brave men that went ashore at Normandy on this date 62 years ago.

Yep, one was Uncle Bill who made it as far as St Lo. I would have loved to have known him.

My Uncle Bill was Navy in the Pacific. Reminds me I need to call and see how he's doing. Maybe I should just go see for myself.

My Dad came in on Omaha with the 29th and also trecked throught St Lo. Amazing how well his long-term memory still works; too bad about his short=term though.
