Default U.S. No Longer Number 1

It is a dark day, indeed. The U.S. has lost it's long-held number one ranking.

According to a new U.N. study, Mexico has surpassed the United States in obesity.

We in Mississippi, the nation's most obese state, continue to do our part in the fight to return our nation to its former Number 1 status among the fat cats nations of the world.

So it is living in America that causes my overweight. I'm never moving to Mexico - the problem would only get worse.

Unfortunately, I forsee no problem with the US regaining that "exalted" number 1. Not exactly bragging material though.

If I remember the statistics correctly Mexico beat us out by one pound. We will all just to try harder to win this coveted title back.

Great find. Loved Sherman when I was a kid and his stuff is still funny.

I am reminded of this ditty by the incomparable Weird Al: I'm Fat

Me too. It brings to mind a question I often hear on some of the cable news networks.

Bill, why do you hate America?

I'm working to get us back to #1. Yesterday I had an order of fries and a hot fudge sundae at Mc D's for lunch. I had a healthy dinner of steak tips and veggies and then a big bowl of I did NOT exercise!!!

Now all this is actually related to having had my official weigh in for the year at the doc's office. Having that behind me I throw caution to the wind for a bit.

We may not hold the #1 spot for long if you are counting on me. I'm going back to the YMCA today.
