I'll never try sushi.
I don't care how pretty it is,
or how 'in style' it is,
or how good anyone else thinks it tastes.
It's not passing my lips.

I was raised having to eat and finish everything on my plate...
I would have to stay in my seat at the table until I ate it all. There were quite a few nights that I was left at the table by myself for hours. (liver)
When my children were small, I would cook foods that they liked for meals. Both were thin and I didn't want them to miss any meals.
As they got older (teen age) I stopped 'catering' to their tastes and if they didn't like what I cooked, they were welcome to cook their own food.
My daughter started going out for meals.
My son took a cooking course in High School and started making macaroni and cheese, hot dogs, eggs, french toast, etc.

I don't think I want to know that stuff.

I will eat brussels sprouts though.

I threatened to shoot a couple of people once if they ever opened a bottle of that in my presence again.

They believed me....

Worcestershire sauce has anchovies in it, so if you use that, then you're almost there!

Lainey it's fish guts, heads scales etc. they let rot in the sun on big flat metal trays. Then the throw sugar in it. After it's well fermented, and they're done straining the flies etc out of it ..kind of..

The stick it in a bottle and pour it on everthing.

Tasty though!

How could you make a Bloody Mary without it?

I hope you're not speaking of the recipe for Worcestershire sauce. That fish stuff sounds AWFUL!

So are you a meat and potatoes person, or are you willing to try a few new things from time to time?
There's not much I'm not willing to try. I'm a little less adventurous with meat products than vegatables.

There are some things I've tried but not liked. However, there are many more things I've tried and did like!

Ummmmm, fish guts, yummy.

You're right about some folks putting it on everything. If you like hot sauce, you probably would be okay with it.

As for sushi, love it, but I like most fish. I try to avoid octopus, because I'd rather see them underwater.
