Training cars for the S
My first manual was a Nissan Sentra. My brother struggled to teach me to drive it. I had trouble with the "clutch thing". I don't think I've ever told this to anybody but....the way I taught myself to drive a manual finally was to pretend I was driving an expensive sports car. After the Sentra I had a Geo Storm for a month...turd. I traded it in within a month (for more than I paid for it) for a Celica GT (dark gray). That was the love of my life. Excellent car. When the Celica was 9 years old my husband said it was time to get a new ride. I drove a Toyota Echo for 2 LONG years. I was trying to do something positive for the earth and save tons of money. It bored me to death. I looked at a S2000 and IS300. I ended up buying a Miata LS 6-speed. Somewhere in the middle I got into motorcycles. That's my history.

We've got some history threads out here. Maybe someone can link to them. Although I had two Fiat Spyders years ago, my last car before an S was a Mercedes 240 Diesel! The tortoise then the hare! Don't think I'm going back in that direction.

I had a '95 Celica GT convertible and loved it. I'd probably still be driving it if I hadn't stumbled into a deal for the S. I still see it occasionally - the girl I sold it to drives it like she stole it.

I bought an used '91 325i convertible after my '95 Integra was stolen in front of my apt. After that, I knew my next car HAD to be a convertible and faster! Actually, I've lusted after S2000s for 5 long years. The great lease deal finally convinced me to do it.
MsPerky, those 240Ds are classics in their own way. Still solid cars after all these years. Wouldn't want to be stuck behind one accelerating though...I'd choke on the smoke alone!

Let's see... started out with a '66 Karmann Ghia, then a '67 Porsche 912, ''69 Goat, (not real sporty, I'll admit), '72 Datsun 510, '67 AH Sprite, '80 Sirocco, '87 VW GTI, '93 Miata, '85 Porsche Carrera, and now the S2000. I did love both the P-cars the best, but I must admit the Honda is really growing on me.
