Traffic court
Inspired by this article in today's NY Times titled "You Think You've Heard it All?" about some of the best excuses used in traffic court;
http://www.nytimes.com/2005/02/22/ny...22traffic.html
I am curious.
Post the best excuse that you've used or heard in traffic court. I'm sure we'll hear some great ones.

Well, not yet having had personal experience on this, my favorite "excuse" for speeding is, "Well, officer, my wife left me for a State Trooper last week, and I thought you were trying to bring her back" I'm trying to think of some that my son has told us over the years as reasons he's gotten traffic tickets.....I'm sure there were some doozies there, and if I remember any of the really good ones, I'll chime in.

Then there's my friend who carries a little Dove cleaning liquid in a specimen jar. If he's pulled over, he tells the cop that he has to get his semen sample to the doctor within 30 minutes.
