The Total Eclipse of the Sun

Don't even try to look at it unless it's 100% or a total eclipse. I bought a booklet by Michael Zeiler on GreatAmericanEclips dot com and it has excellent information and history about this eclipse, past ones and future ones. I think they're sold out.

I’ve practiced photographing the sun again today. Do believe that I’ve got it down pat.
The only thing that I’m anxious about photographing is using a 5 ND filter during the partial eclipse and no filter during totality, where shutter speeds need changing for capturing the transitions and corona. I’ll have three cameras on Auto Exposure Bracketing during the totality using fresh batteries.
Keeping the beer cold and remembering to bring an opener are other concerns.

For glasses, check with your local library. Some states are distributing them through the library systems. Pretty sure that includes DE, but they may be out. They were a few weeks ago but may have received more. CT has them still so other states may as well.
