Just trying to get my schedule for the summer organized. (Perhaps others would be interested, also...)

 

Still working on it, Gene. Hilly and I are thinking late September/early October at this point, mostly because we want to stay well away from Krystal's baby's arrival, and the difficult summer they have in store (If you don't know what I'm talking about, see Krystal's Baby Thread).

I hope to have a date by the end of the month of May, but no promises.

It would have to be before mid Sep or after the first week in Oct for me. But, it's hard enough with conflicts and all for those who schedule these events. People got to do what they got to do. This is a real serios drivers event.

 

No matter when, we'll be there! Rt. 26 is second only to the Dragon!

 

I just re-read that thread. Any further news on the upcoming birth? I certainly hope things are going well for the new mother and her baby.

 

I spoke with Hilly on the phone from Spring Fling. As the baby has grown, they've found out more details on the condition of the heart, details that have helped map out the steps for the first few days/weeks after birth. The original due date was the end of June, IIRC, and the doctors are hoping Krystal carries the baby as long as possible, though they've moved the due date up to the middle of June. Whenever it ends up being, they'll be ready for whatever is required.

Krystal is doing really well. Virginija and I hope to go visit as soon as things settle down, maybe sometime in July or August.

Kim has already returned from South Korea (for good), so that's nice. The family is all together for this.

Route 26 is on the "Ten Best Drive List" of Car & Driver and Automobile magazine as well.
For those that have not done this drive it is special.

 

OK, folks, the date is set. The 3rd Annual Tomcatt Memorial Meet will take place on September 26th - 28th, 2008.

I'm awaiting the signed contract with the Hampton Inn; once that is complete I'll post the official sign-up thread (Friday at the latest).

They are booking rooms though at the quoted rate.
