J.W., the only way you will get an informed answer is if you can say something about what you are looking for and how you drive. Try ranking the following attributes in order of importance:

Tread life
Ride
Tire noise
Dry traction
Wet traction
Ease of handling at or approaching traction limits
Price
Appearance

And how often do you use the S2000 for...
Normal local driving
Long distance driving
High performance road driving
Autocross
Track
Drag Strip

Finally, if you do a lot of local driving, in what kind of shape are the streets and roads in your area.

Answer these and I suspect you will get can't-miss recommendations from this wise old group. And if you get ten different recommendations from this wise old group, just go with your gut.

I have Bridgestone RE-O1Rs, extreme high preformance summer tires. Sadly they dont make this tire anymore, its now R-11s i think. Go here for your answers.

J.W. for my '05 S2000 I will use nothing but OEM, Bridgestone Potenza RE 050s. I don't have cold roads or ice. I have tried other tires in the past on my '01 S2000 and the handling always suffered.

Tread life (3)
Ride (1)
Tire noise (4)
Dry traction(5)
Wet traction
Ease of handling at or approaching traction limits(7)
Price(2)
Appearance(6)

And how often do you use the S2000 for...
Normal local driving ( 2-3 times weekly)
Long distance driving ( 1+ per Month)
High performance road driving (0)
Autocross (0)
Track (0)
Drag Strip (0)

Finally, if you do a lot of local driving, in what kind of shape are the streets and roads in your area. about a 50/50 ruff to desent.

Didn't mean to start off as a smart a-- I get in these moods sometimes.

Ahh...I haven't driven up around Tupelo/Oxford/Senatobia/Golden Triangle lately. (But I'm headed up to Columbus on 3/5).

OK, just to be sure...you are ranking qualities starting with MOST IMPORTANT:
Ride, Price, Tread Life, Tire Noise, Dry traction, Wet Traction, and handling at the limits

If that's right then I would recommend a good value/high performance all season tire...

Maybe a Falken Ziex ZE-912. Its a good all-season performance tire with a tread wear rating of 360 and a 40K mile tread-wear warranty. Reviews indicate it is above average in ride comfort and low road noise. A set in the standard S2000 AP2 sizes will run you $420 from Discount Tire Direct with free shipping (Tire Rack doesn't cary Falken). Discount Tire Direct does have really good customer service and very fast shipping...figure a couple days. Of course you would have to pay to have them mounted locally.

Figure a little more $ locally but you can probably negotiate a good deal if you go armed with the DTD price. Be sure to figure sales tax when you shop price vs. DTD.

Thanks Tof.
After spending all day Sunday on Tire Rack it never occured to me to try another vendor. I like the looks and reviews of theFalkens maybe just what I need.
