Tires for the Genesis Coupe
OK... looking to replace the all-season tires on the '13 Genesis Coupe.
Currently I have Continental DWS on it, and they lasted me about 37k miles. Rears are about gone, front still have some life left.
This is my daily driver, so I need to have all-season tires on it, as I'm too cheap to buy new wheels to put winter tires on the car.
Things that are important....
handling
thread life
tire noise
being able to drive in snow
The DWS's have done OK.... felt safe driving in the snow, but normal driving/handling felt a little off. Seemed like the sidewalls flexed a bit too much for me... felt like the car wiggled (technical term!) when lane changing at 70-80.....
Was looking at the Michellin Pilot Sport A/S 3 and the General GMax AS-03 as possible replacements.
Kind of limited in what is available as I need 225/40/19 up front and 245/40/19 in the rear (based on what is available at TireRack).
Anyone have any experience with these tires... in the snow and dry?

Go to the tire rack. They'll tell you what to get.

That is where I have been looking and doing my comparison.
The DWS are the higher rated tires for snow.... but the Michelin are rated higher overall.. but the 3rd of the 3 for snow traction.
Am hoping someone here has tried the Michelin and the General so that they can give their thoughts.....
Figured I'd get the best review from one of this group!

If you are asking for my two cents? I would highly recommend the Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S. I got 60,402 out of the first set on our Infiniti. I liked them so much that I did more research o Tireracks website to see if I could come up with a +1 size that was 10MM wider with a lower profile that would fit the stock alloy wheels that had the same number of revolutions per mile (as to not throw the speedometer off) and did. I like them so much that I was bummed out to learn that Michelin does not make them in the size to fit our 2008 Honda Fit.
P.S. Look at the number of miles logged on these tires on the Tirerack.com website. IMO they are difficult to beat as a all season tire.

As Bill suggests....... try 'talking' to the staff at the Tire Rack.
