Default Tire upgrade for Infiniti M35

Looking for better tires. Car came with new Nexen Nprz AH8 all season tires. They are fairly quiet but the ride is a bit harsh even for the sporty M35, grip is average, and they tend to tram. (I may need an alignment for that but I suspect the tires just love to follow truck ruts.)

Looking at Vredestein Quatrac 5s in the oem size(245-45 R18). These seem to be very well reviewed by Tire Rack and others, and score higher than any of the Michelin all season touring tires in Tire Rack customer reviews..

Wondering, does anyone here have any experience with this tire?

Vredestein is a popular tire in the MGA tire sized world. I've never heard any bad feedback on the brand. In fact, a true world traveling tire expert friend praised the brand!

I installed Yokohama Envigors on my G37 Sport. I have approximately 15K miles on them and they are at 8/32nds. The car handles well, no issues with noise.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Vredestein isn't exactly a household name in the US but I know they are respected in Europe. Tire Rack sure likes them.

Tire Rack only seems to have run flat Avid Envigor ZPS in my M35 size. I don't think run-flats would be an upgrade other than being able to, you know, run when flat?

I have a set of them on my Healey. I have not flown off the road yet.

Still plenty of time, LB.

Seems like they are best known among the classic English sports car set. Not just you. Seen them on various Brit roadsters over the years, and some older German sports sedans and coupes as well.

They are the old-man’s-car tires.

You see them on so many older British cars because they are the only company still making the correct sizes at a reasonable price. We are fortunate that the quality is pretty good too.

I purchased Kumho's in 2013 for my MG. I am not sure if they are still in production or not, but I've certainly been happy with them.

Co-worker put Michelin Pilot Super Sports on his G37. He really likes them. They sometimes (like once a year), go on sale at Tire Rack. He got 4 for the price of 3. Not bad. $50 to install and balance.
