Time to go home...

Is a medical emergency less important than an client's call about an IRS letter? What IRS letter couldn't wait for discussion the next morning? Although I understand your comment, I still think that some people "cook their own goose" by being 'always available'.
Whatever....I'm happy to be in a position where I rarely have to be 'connected' 365/24/7.....

I got out at 5:45 today. Started at 7:30 though. Only a few more days of these "reasonable " hours and then it's back into the maelstrom.

Should I feel bad telling you all that I start at 8:00 and leave at 4:00 just about every day? Sometimes I stay until 4:01, other times I leave at 3:59.

That sounds great! Most of the time, I start around 0430 and end it around 1530 myself. Works out great for me!

Lainey, that's not good enough, you gotta get yourself an atomic watch with a loud buzzer!!
Don't worry Jim, I see more of the 3:59 departures, than the 4:01. No buzzer needed.
I'm waiting to try the "not going in on Mondays and Friday's" so I don't have to worry about what time I leave, but I'm not there anytime soon.

We had a problem in a production system at about 4:30 PM. It didn't have to be fixed immediately, but we were there until after 7 PM diagnosing and determining the extent of the problem and plotting solutions for tomorrow. Fortunately, this hasn't happened very often lately.
