Jerry its funny you mention that about traveling and fast food chains. Whenever I go on long road trips I generally eat at McDonalds Or BK but generally otherwise don't unless they have really good specials going on.
Hope you and Cathy are well!

We love Mickey D's when traveling - they have the cleanest restrooms 99% of the time.

We prefer Subway for a quick on the road lunch, but McD's is our usual choice for a pit stop.

There were approximately 109,000 S2000s produced in the 10 year run of the car. Very few were produced in the last year, 2009, and so for all intents and purposes the last one rolled off of the assembly line about 4 years ago. In fact they been out of production for almost half as long as they were in production. My guess is that of the 109,000 that were produced starting 15 years ago, approximately 75,000 are still on the road.

Remarkably, I see more S2000s on the road now than I ever saw when they were being made. My theory is that many of the original owners have finally decided to sell them, and the new owners don't baby them the way the original owners did. I don't know if the new owners are younger, but it would make sense that the new buyers who bought them for less money, and perhaps are younger are more inclined to use them for daily drivers.

Where I'm going with all of this is that I don't think that there is the same sense of comradery among the owners as there was years ago. While the number of people participating in S2KI (in all topics and forums) on any one day may be big, I'm not sure that really means anything.

Me too. I never eat at McDonald's, well unless it's just for a coffee and an apple pie snack.

I actually eat at McD's often at lunch. I usually get a salad and yogurt, but other times I eat french fries and ice cream. It's the last place I want to eat when we are on the road.
