We decided to just have a simple meal at home. We're having chicken roulade stuffed with brie and apples, mac & cheese, fresh green beans, yeast rolls and just simple cookies and chocolate ice cream for dessert. We're thankful the daughter will be here and maybe we'll put up Christmas lights after. We'll see.

Happy Thanksgiving, All Y'all! I'm sure the weekend will be filled with lots of football for the +1 and his son. Not so much for me. Also planning to see Lincoln at some point. There is an exotic bird exhibit at the National Geographic I want to see. Not sure we'll get there this weekend.

Matt just left to visit his Mom for the holiday. I miss him already. She is 94 and starting to have memory problems so he needs to be with her. I hope things improve. I am still not driving since my surgery so I am house bound until Monday. Have a nice T-day and thank & hug your loved ones. />/>

Oldest son, wife and 13 month grandson arrived last night after youngest son, wife, middle daughter and youngest daughter also arrived. Thankfully our oldest daughter, husband and four grandchildren will arrive for Thanksgiving dinner. five (5) children, three (3) spouses, five (5) grandchildren, two (2) grand-dogs (miniature greyhounds) for dinner. My father (87), sisters, nieces, nephews, neighbors and maybe my brother and brother-in-law's family coming for dessert.

Still mourning the fate of my youngest son's '96 Accord (timing belt), but got to drive his recently acquired '99 Subaru Impreza, which he'll have to give my father a ride because it's tradition, but also because my dad had a '77 Subaru coupe.

Much to be thankful for.................... Have a Happy Thanksgiving..............

Didn't know you'd had surgery, Plantpixie! Sorry! Hope you're all better now and that you have a nice Thanksgiving.

Sorry to hear you needed surgery, Barbara.

Our plan is to keep the Thanksgiving meal simple, which we do. Informal with very little fussing. Rick has done 90% of the work, which is the main part of MY plan. He's a keeper!
The other part of the plan is to eat dessert, lots of dessert. So this AM, I headed to a special Thanksgiving Day Zumba class to work off the desserts I will eat. Yes, I am addicted. Who knew exercise could be so much fun?

Here's me (in the front in blue) and most of this morning's participants. What a blast!

OK, now I need to set the table and do a little bit of my part to make dinner happen.

Well we almost got everything done. All that was left was the turkey dressing and the giblet gray. Then the range threw a code about the latch on the lower oven door and crapped its pants. We weren't even using the lower oven! Even so the range disabled itself. I've cut the breaker off and took everything next door to finish.

I may be doing some Black Friday shopping after all.

Um, I'm pretty sure I told ya so.

Last night I dreamed, for the first time, of riding my ElliptiGO around. That means to me that I've crossed over. I used to dream about running, especially when I was hugely prego and couldn't do it for a while. The ElliptiGO is now in my blood. Zumba is in yours.

I am now ready for a nap. The feast only took two hours to prepare. Not bad. The chicken roulade said 1.5 hours, but I made it closer to two. It was moist and very good. The +1's son made fried asparagus. We have to wait a couple of hours before the razzleberry pie. Let everything settle.
