Thanks dlq04
In another thread dlq/Dave suggested I try Google's picture program Picasa
What a very cool program. Most of my pictures were already organized into neat little file folders (my OCD kicking in), but I often had trouble using my camera's program for editing.
I managed to download some pics right from my camera to this program, and those, along with my other pics (which are also in that program) are now so easy to edit. No more RED eyes in the pictures I'll post.
It took a little fiddling around to figure out what was what, but it didn't take me too long.
Oh and I did figure out a way to post pics on line with the program, but I need to play around with that a bit.
It's always great to learn something new from hanging around here.
Thanks, Dave!
See you in PA!
PS: Dave did you mentioned that using this program does put pics in two places in your computer? In My Pictures and in Picasa. If so and this causes a space issue, for people, you don't have to keep ALL the pics in Picasa. Easy to edit them, then remove them from Picasa and keep them only in your "My Pictures" file.

I had no doubt that our sharp grandma would figure this out quickly!

You're welcome Lainey. For a very quick editing process, I think it's slick.
BTW, under tools they offer a short backup process that allows you to back it up with either CDs or external hard drive. I do both at alternate times..... doing CDs quarterly to put in a fire proof safe. Pictures are the #1 thing people miss should something terrible happen like a fire. Also their backup knows what was previously backup, if you want to approach it that way, with say a rewritable CD.
