Yeah Beth, sorry I left you out of the thank you. But of course, so many contributed thier time and skills, I would not know where to start or finish.
But NO THANKS to Garmin! My GPS put me up on a logging road!!!!
Just got home now. I'm very tired!

Right now I need to update my resume to include my sumu wrestling experience.
That was an unexpected "HOOT" . Seeing you and Jonas wrestle was a real "HOOT"
Maury and Beth did a great job.

BTW I am not sure who started the rumor about SF09 being in Asheville, NC ? Is anyone stepping up to the plate for that? Who started this rumor?
Maury's suggestion about going back to Seven Springs for SF10 gets my vote. Especially if he is willing to coordinate it again.
There is a good chance that we will be there. As we have attended every Spring Fling and have always had a great time. The car is fun. But the people are special.

I suspect that I unwittingly started that one.
On Friday, when Carmen complained on the board about SF not being far enough south, and Deb urging him to go ahead and organize it, I mentioned this to a few folks I met Friday evening. Myrtle Beach being rather flat, touristy, and often crowded (at least to my recollection), I said that we would want to move inland. Since I have relatives there, I suggested Asheville. I believe it was Ken (kgf3076) who then mentioned that Asheville has some great roads around it, so it would be a great location.
Of course, if Carmen decided to organize it there anyway (it's 5-6 hours from Myrtle Beach), I wouldn't complain.
(Note how I've volunteered Carmen to organize it already. It's so easy to volunteer people when they aren't around. )

Add my thanks to the many I'm sure you'll get, Maury and Beth and crew. It brought tears to my eyes in more ways than one. Thanks to all who helped make this another one for the books. Awesome doesn't begin to decribe the time we had.
And yes, Grandson #1, I DID behave! Laineeeey!

Yes, the eastern part of NC/SC leaves something to be desired in terms of a drive. I suggest a poll as we did once before when we ended up with Watkins Glen and Berkeley Springs. Most of the peeps who vote/post are the ones who end up going, so it's as representative as it's going to get. Asheville would be a haul for quite a few peeps, but it is certainly a beautiful area.

Thanks for a great meet, Maury, Beth and all others involved. Hell, everybody! You all made it great! I needed a great weekend with my Vintage buddies badly, and that's exactly what I got .
And Maury, I can't thank you enough for letting me drive your car on Saturday. It was a special treat and very above and beyond of you. But that's what you are...above and beyond.
Thanks again.
Phil.
