Test Driving Stuff
My wife is car shopping again.
Yesterday she drove several and here's her opinion as it was related over morning coffee.
Porsche Cayenne S. Rides like a truck.....goes like hell seats are uncomfortable interior is plain she gave it a $83k
Next was the big Range Rover. She refused to even try it, said it was dog poop ugly and not her thing $93k
Then she drove the big infiniti Q something. Said it rode well but she didn't like rear seats and interior and it had some fitment and paint problems (lots of orange peel)
that got a maybe. $70k
Then it was time for the big Lexus. She turned that one down without driving over lack of comfort in the back seats and a crappy tailgate design. $85k
Last one was a shot of desperation. She drove a Lincoln Navigator. That had the best overall design great ergonomics access etc. Unfortunately outside of the seats, the interior is CHEAP but it was the best price $55g
It's fun to watch but I wish she'd make up her mind.

Grant!!! Hey bud.
Nice price point for the ladie's new ride. A friend at work, his wife, has the Cayenne and has grown to tolerate it. You spend that kind of money you want to love the car. Apparently the ride is far from SUV-like and more like...a sportscar.
Not sure what "goodies" she wants, expects, needs in her new sled but I know Sandy has been very happy with her MDX and it's the old model. I'm sure you could get one of those loaded to the hilt and still be in the Navigator range if not under actually.

+1 has been driving the S for 10 years next month and is thinking of something bigger and easy to get in and out of. She likes the looks of the C300 MZB. Would your +1 give a or a ?

We have an AWD Lexus RX too and really like it. Turned 105k miles recently and still drives like new. Big turning radius though. I've done all of what little maintenance it has required - filters, oil changes, brakes, except for a timing belt.

I love the Mercedes SLK350, if you like a two seater. The other Benz models are not holding their value as in the past, but certainly something to consider.
