We had a great dinner with our guests. All foods tasted great. Just realized we didn't have sweet potatoes- that's what I was trying to figure what was missing yesterday. Had a turkey roast and may have put too many garlic cloves into it, but that's personal taste. The pumpkin pie was sensational. And we had a great visit with my cousin and wife. We drove down to their house in August for their daughter's wedding, but things were so busy we didn't have any time to sit and visit. This time we solved all the world problems. Now we just have to convince Congress to act. Ideas on that?

So Morgan is doing MUCH better than last time I saw her six months ago or so. She said it still fees like her lower legs are asleep but still the improvement has been dramatic...from unable to walk to a walker to a cane to playing with her boys.

Today AJ has strep throat and both the boys have been sick off and on for the last few days. Yet we still are glad we all got together here in Nashville, Yesterday afternoon everyone was feeling at least ok, so we all went to Top Golf and hit a bunch of balls. Turns out Rob, who really has never played with any regularity, can hit a 3 wood 265 yards without breaking a sweat.. Hard for him to find time to take up the sport with a six year old, a three year old, and two track day cars that require regular maintenance. (Don't all track day toys require a good bit of upkeep?)

Nibbling at some apple pie we got from a farm stand kind of place.
It's ok but I will admit I sure do miss my grandmothers apple pie and she's been gone 45 years.
or her pumpkin pie. She kind of defined what pie is supposed to taste like.

We had an easy drive home with just one traffic tie-up.

Rob and Morgan had a tougher time. One of the kids barfed all over his car seat. And they had a flat tire on a complex Interstate interchange. Rob managed to use some fix-a-flat and some additional air to limp to a nearby off ramp and into a car parts store parking lot where he purchased a tire patch plug kit that got them home.
