Default Switching the clocks - Love it or hate it?

It's now pretty dark in the morning when we wake up around 6:15, and it's dark by 6:15. This is not my favorite time of year as I feel much more alive and have more energy when I have more daylight. As much as I dislike the darkness at the end of the day, I have a real hard time waking up when it's so dark out in the morning. By the time we switch the clocks in early November, I'm more than ready to have a little more light in the morning, and deal with the darkness at 5:00 PM.

Maybe I need one of those light boxes in our bedroom, to give me that extra light I seem to crave.

What about you? Does the upcoming change of the clocks get to you? Do you roll with the punches as the days get shorter or do you just want to

I hate time change. At work we have over thirty clocks, timers, thermostats, time clocks, etc to be changed. They need to be changed on Sunday whick means I get to go into work and re-program them all.

Home is easy with only 6 clocks to change.

I prefer light in the evening when I can get some of the remaining yard things done.

Depends on whether they leave them alone set to daylight savings time or not. If not, less daylight in the afternoon/evening.

^I like that. Let's all just decide for ourselves and see how it turns out.

They left them on DST one year, back in the 70's or 80's to save energy. Some people weren't happy. Then again, you can't please everyone. The concern was the kids heading off to school in the dark.

There are some areas in the US that don't switch the clocks aren't there?

Yep - AZ for one. They are three hours back on daylight savings and two the rest of the year.

Since sunlight this time of the year is a rarity in MI, it doesn't matter what time it is. However, it does get me to get up an hour sooner and 8:30 AM sounds better than 9:30 AM.

Except for the Navajo Nation. They observe DST.
