Default sun tan lotion

According to a report this AM this is the #1 lotion according to Consumers Report. They mentioned that paying more for lotion doesn't mean it's better. Top down people can benefit from good protection.

There was one lotion we tried along the way. It turned the neck of our shirts a nasty color. It may have even been on of the line you show above. We use Hawaiian Tropic. I also just purchased a white long sleeve shirt that is supposed to have SPF factor in it. I'll lather up underneath, but I'm hoping it will be cooler than having the sun beating down on my arms on our road trip.

One of the brands owned by the company I retired from. I visited this plant a couple times right after we acquired it. (Ormond Beach FL)

My wife, the biochemist, has gone deep into the ingredients side of things.
I think she likes the Neutrogena line for sunscreen.

I typically use Banana Boat. I like their spray on version a lot better than coppertones as the coppertone comes out all sticky feeling when I have used it. I like the spray on because it is a lot easier to use when I am at the track or autocross events and need to quickly re-apply.

On he turning your shirt colors, yep, happens to mine regardless of brand. The avobenzone used in most of them sunblocks causes it. Rust stain removers for clothing seems to help a lot. Or you can try to find a sunblock without avobenzone in it.

CR tested something like 76 brands. If someone has a subscription maybe they can look that one up. They said many of brands did not test to what the SPF stated on the bottles.

Also, not really any reason to spend more money on anything over SPF 50 which blocks over 98% of what you care about.

That's what I have been using the last few trips we took to Cuba and south. Other brands had ingredients that may have been considered carcinogens - oxybenzone

This thread is very timely as I need to stock up on SPF 50 sunscreen as we are going on vacation in July.

Yes, that's one good thing to come out of the magazine. I use it every time I ride or drive with the car top down. I go through a lot of it.
