For me it's all about saving up for the next driving season, and working on the house. I actually look forward to this time as I transition back into carpenter from track instructor.

Anytime the temps get above 40 degrees F you can wash off the salt. The roof has to stay up, as it is not advisable to bring it down or up if the temps are below 50 degrees F.
Uh, Snakey, in Ems part of the world, if the temps get above 0 F in winter, they break out the summer clothing. At 40-50, they'd declare a heatwave and close everything down and my ice castle would melt. Oh no, I see why they put the S away plus, that's some of the baadest road salt I've ever seen in my life. Can't imagine what it would do the paint.

You wouldn't know what to do with yourself if you ever finished it, LB. Or is there such a thing?

I bought my S in November of 05. Had 3000 miles on it by Spring. We might get a little snow sometime next winter; may even have an ice storm or two but they don't last long and the highway dept. doesn't use salt on the roads here.

The last 6 months have been so busy.....with the next 4 months looking like more of the same, I can't even bear to think about "planning for the fall".....

Btw, most of the above has been a 'good' busy....so I'm not complaining.

We finally have some gorgeous cooler weather today, so it reminds me that Fall is near. We'll be watching alot of college and pro football and the remainder of the baseball season for the Nats. The +1 is taking his son to the Rutgers game in NJ Oct 6. Headed to Fall Colors at the end of Oct. Plans for some culture (Genesis concert end of this month and a couple of Barns at Wolftrap events - CA Guitar Trio and Celtic Fiddle Festival). Also headed to the Washington International Horseshow Oct 12 - jumping competitions, dressage, terrier races, and Jewel performing.

The +1 will be starting a new job, I'm sure. Just need to determine which one. Still waiting to hear back on salary for the one he originally wanted. But now he has a potential new position with his current company right up the street from the condo! So...walking to work is awfully tempting! My commute is easy, but not that easy. My work sked will be busy, as usual, but I like it.

Will be driving the S quite a bit, I'm sure, since the weather here allows it most of the year. And the cooler temps make for wonderful top-down driving.

I'll be happy that the heat is gone. We recently had a week to two, of more than 105*. When I have to run the A/C 24/7, I just feel too tired to move. I need to go outside and not melt.

I love fall. I want to go to my trailer and property in Kennedy Meadows and see the aspens, up a little further, turn yellow, orange and red. I want my with me when I go. I want to be with my , period.

I will be living alone here in 10 more days. I need to decide where I want to move to and decide if I want to buy or rent.

Might be a good idea to rent for awhile, Patty, since your sitch seems to be "fluid" at the moment.

No, there is only the day you sell it. I could go back to the begining and do everything over again to make it better. No such thing as perfect. Last night I spent an hour installing a screw. I spent two days installing a tube and now I will probably remove it and buy a new one because it is slightly worn. I'm pre-assembling the three part grill that ties into 5 other parts at the front of the car. All the parts are held together with about 50 assorted studs, screws, washers, nuts, clips and bolts. I'll probably have to fit and re-fit it 10 times before it is right. The list goes on.
