I have not had any interest in new cars in so long it's unreal. Other than a trip to a dealership to see the new Vette when it came out - entry/exit much worse than the MG - I have zero interest in new designs and drivetrains. They will never have safe driver-less cars in my life time except on some little grid . . . maybe at the home where they put me.

Is that still around? I had no idea.

I prefer to get used vs new. I don't have a problem with the new tech. I rented a Hyundai sedan not long ago. It had some of the best tech this side of GM Supercruise. The occasion was a drive from Detroit to mid Ohio and back, so mostly Interstate and other divided highways. The adaptive cruise control worked smoothly without any quirks that some other car brands seem to have, and the lane tracing was amazing, gently adjusting steering, keeping the car dead center in it lane. I would always have at least one hand on the wheel and I wouldn't use either system around town. But on a long Interstate slog both systems combine to greatly reduce driving fatigue. And when you activate the turn signal, the steering assist stops assisting and one of the two "instruments" (i.e. speedo and tach) is replaced with a high def screen display of your blind spot. It's a shame Hyundai and Kia have other issues or I would have a new-ish Stinger GT or a Genesis G70 in my drive. Until a better
