Springtime in Flintstone...
The Bradford Pear trees are supposedly the surest sign of spring around here and so far they're behaving as expected - perhaps the temps will follow soon.

Are those ornamentals or do you also get fruit? They're beautiful either way.
My dad used to say that mother nature couldn't fool a pecan tree. If the pecan trees budded, there would definitely be no more frost. As far as I remember, it always held true at least in East Texas.

[QUOTE=PanteraKitty,Mar 25 2008, 07:37 PM] Monday was weird. I thought the Bradford Pear blossoms were blowing around. Later I saw the weather report. It actually was snow flurries. Temperature was 51

That's where I was born and lived until I left home at 18. Back then, it was a lot smaller and a great place to raise kids but a terrible place to be a kid. I think now I probably wouldn't mind living there if I ever left FL. Of course the only way I'll leave FL is if Dean kicks me out.
