I don't know if you noticed the first message (where I probably misspelled your screen name) but the Chef at Jimmy Wan's asked if we could let him know by Thursday how many people to expect. Because some of the food we are going to have takes time to prepare, he wants all the time possible to make sure everything is done correctly. (I really like chefs like that ) I told them Thursday evening, so if you're planning on attending, please sign up soon.

Thanks (and my appetite thanks you too)

[QUOTE=kgf3076,May 18 2010, 09:16 AM]American-Chinese food is usually high in sodium, I agree. I always insist on no MSG (it gives me a headache). I'll also ask that the use of salt be curtailed to no more than what's necessary. (I also don't eat much salt).

Okay, here's the final (tentative) menu. I've tried to order something for every taste. Even if you don't like something there should be many other things you will love.

Lions Head Meatballs (Shanghai Style)
Double Sauteed Sliced Pork
Scallion Beef
Chili Pepper Chicken (Somewhat spicy)
Chinese Broccoli (Because there have to be veggies)
Kung Pao Calamari
Salt and Pepper Whole Prawns (Baked in Salt with the heads on)
Scallion pancake

We'll order the above dishes first and as we get close to the end of the meal, we might add the following two if you are still not full (fat-chance )

Chinese fried chicken
Ja Jang Mien (noodles with meat and cucumber)

I think Ken is planning to order for us.
Thankfully, I did not see chicken feet in his post!
