I'll start a list in the first post. If you only posted information about sites to visit and did not discuss joining us on the trip, I'll assume you are just trying to be helpful and I won't include you on the list. Let me know if my assumption is wrong and I will write you in. I'm not trying to leave anyone out. The more the better.
Thanks.
Bill
Thanks.

Bill,
Just trying to be helpful since I live in Winchester. I'll be out with Ken and Gene making sure we don't get lost on Saturday!

Was looking at the route from here...thought we would go Route 7, but then saw Route 50. Will go through Middleburg and Upperville, two lovely towns in VA horse country. Homes of the mink and manure set. Might even stop at the Coach Stop restaurant in Middleburg. Love that place.

These are all in Winchester - 10 mins or so from the hotel - but then again everything in Winchester is 10 mins from wherever you happen to be at the moment...
Museum of the Shenandoah Valley

This link has five different museums, including George Washington's office, Stonewall Jackson's 1862 Winter HQ, and Abrams Delight - one of the oldest homes in Winchester.

The Patsy Cline House

The Old Town Walking Mall (where Union Jacks is located) is being rededicated starting on Friday.
Harpers Ferry and Antietam are 45 - 60 mins away. Someone already mentioned Luray Caverns - about an hour away.
Hope this helps...

Luray Caverns
It's about an hour's drive and costs $24. I'll probably go there.

They are pretty and nice countryside around there. Interesting article about a family rift surrounding the caverns.
