I'm glad you still have good memories of that event, Lainey. I would be happy to explain any of the events in detail and do whatever I can to help if there is interest.

Maybe Global Warming will help in 2014.

PS: OR buy some all-season tires and forget trying to be "BOY RACER" :stick: Seriously, the new Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 - Ultra High Performance All Season have gotten good reviews. About $142 +s/h for each rear tire from TireRack. I am thinking of getting these on all 4 corners next week. Wouldn't it be NIIIIIICE to drive occasionally on a sunny winter day? :drive: :sun:

Unfortunately, to keep the cost of the hotel relatively inexpensive and not have to scatter everyone over 3 or 4 hotels, we took the dates with the lower prices, most amenities for everyone coming and that would keep us in one hotel. The rates I was getting for mid-May ran from $179/night up (and I do mean UP. Unfortunately, Hershey is not the cheapest place to meet.).

I'm sure the import and kit car show at Carlisle drives up the prices for that weekend, Ken. It is a HUGE event.

Can I make a suggestion?

Consider setting up a facebook page for this. Not sure if it's a new Vintage site or just a page for Spring Fling. But the "Event" App in facebook allows you to put in the place (say the hotel) with an automatic link to its facebook page.

More important, it has a "Ticket" field, which lets you add the link to the ticket site you use each year (so, you don't need to change that). The big plus to this is that people don't have to search through the thread for the ticket posting, it's just always up front.

They also have a "Join" button for those who want to go to the event, again so you don't have to search posts to catch everyone.
After careful reading of the "privacy" section of the Facebook agreement, I don't think I'd want to expose members here to that. There is no right to privacy, anything posted (pictures, ideas, messages) can be used by Facebook in any way they want including ads. As user unfriendly as S2KI can be, I think it's a better choice for things like this. I'm not ready to voluntarily give up attendee's personal information to anybody. If they changed their "privacy" policy, I might consider it, but the way it is now....I don't think so, but thanks for the idea, I do appreciate it.
