Is anyone interested in a cook out for Friday lunch/afternoon? The lake area closes at 6PM. They have boats and bike rentals plus volleyball and horseshoes. It would be a meeting place since everyone will be coming in at different times. $15 will reserve a picnic table and grill for a half day.
Just a thought.

We could have the 1st Vintage S2K paddle boat races!!

There are a couple/or maybe more wineries in the area. I know there is a Wintergreen Winery and some others there, but I've never checked them out. I'll make a trip or two up there over the next couple/months to check things out more thoroughly. Wintergreen is about 40 miles from my home.
When I was in Charlottesville last year visiting my Corp HQ, there was a little time to visit some of the wineries in the area. I was told that there are 35 of them in the general area. While we didn't wander down as far as Wintergreen, we did find several south and west of CSV. I would highly recommend taking some time to visit them during the trip.

I would like to see some additional activities that do not include bars, wineries or karaoke. Just my .02.

We're open to suggestions. I haven't focused on SF activities, yet, but I will soon. Remember, though, that this location is fairly isolated, so the choice of activities will be somewhat limited, beyond eating, drinking and driving (not in that order!). There is golf and tennis on site.

Some of us have no idea WHERE this place is you are talking about.

Is this another event 1,000 miles from my home or will it be close enough to make?

^ The main reservations thread is at the top of the forum. This is a related thread for activities. The event is fully booked, but you can get on the waiting list. It will be south of Charlottesville, VA. We do expect a couple of peeps from down your way, though.
