I am a little concerned about threads of this nature. They are not in the spirit of the Vintage forum.
The Vintage forum was created as a place where people could discuss topics, concepts and ideas from a mature point of view without the noise, mud slinging, name calling and flaming that has occured in the past. It was not created as a political platform or a place to promote a political agenda. When I see a post like this, a post linking to a web site that clearly is controversial and is set up purely to promote a political point of view, I have to question the motives behind it.
If anyone wants to discuss the issues (any issue) that is fine, we in Vintage welcome that. That is what we do best. If you've come here with an agenda and your point is to make noise and promote a specific political point of view, please find another place to do it.
Thank you.

Cthree has posted a thread precisely about this issue...I put my opinion there. Rob and I want to encourage open discussion, but if it goes too far (whatever too far means - we need to define this), we will have to put a halt to some threads. Whether this is one of them remains to be seen...

guess we will just have to discuss "what's the weather in your neighborhood today" everyday day....... I will refrain from anymore "controversial topics" and let my brain just go dead. I enjoyed everyones view and to even mention immature posts which did not exist in any of my recent threads is insulting.
