After driving roundtrip on I-405 for two hours each way today, I've discovered a major downside to SoCal
125+ miles at 70 mph/ bumper-bumper for half of the time is a little hard to take.....5-6 lanes wide
Plus, the OTHER half of the time was at 5 mph

^I was very lucky yesterday. I left home around 11:50 am and sailed all 160 miles to my son's place in Santa Barbara/Goleta. Never a problem.
Can I be that lucky on the way home, today?

You have to plan your trips to avoid rush hour traffic. Rush hour actually includes several hours: 6-9 AM, and 3:30-6:30 PM.

Kyras, strains on infrastructure are pretty high on her list, not just traffic but saftey services, education, etc. But even higher is what she precieves is a the lack of a 'howdy, neighbor' attitude.
