I thought it was kind of curious that SF09 is on Mother's Day and the Tom Catt run is on Father's Day this year. Then I thought and figured it is easier to get hotel rooms on those weekends?

Wife and daughter both have finals next week. I am going to the house in Payson to get out of the Scottsdale house and let them study. I guess I should come back on Sunday to take her out to dinner. Maybe I'll wait till after finals are over

I'm not going to SF becuause it conflicts with Mother's Day. Barbara loves you all, but she wants to see her kids and grand kids on Mother's day. Who can blame her?
I'll be around this weekend. Hey Jerry, come on down the cape. The new boat is going in the water. With twin engines, I have twice the chance of getting you back in.
Lainey, come help me clean boats while you still have two arms!!! It can be the last useful thing you do before surgery. :wink:

I've never made a fuss over Mother's day. My daughter in law is now a Mom, so I tell them to just enjoy the day. I didn't have a problem leaving town for Mother's day.I wish we were.
I'm nice to Mom all the time and I would have either taken her to lunch or done something with her prior to Mother's day. I sent her $. She likes $.
My Mom will be in NY at my nephew's college graduation anyway, so Rick and I are free to do whatever we want, unfortunately, Bill, boat cleaning is not on the "to do" list.

I be home this weekend. Had a little scare with the repaired eye not seeing last week. Apparently the eye drops for the repair work interferred with the eye drops for the Glaucoma and the pressure went way up.
Years back the SCCA region that I was playing with had their regular monthly events on the second Sunday of the month. May event = ladies run free. They didnt even have to be mothers. They didnt even have to prove that they had mothers.
