So would you buy a single seater?
There is an interesting difference in safety laws between the two and four wheeled world.
2 wheels, Ah OK, that's a motorcycle.
your expected to die on it, so other than maybe make you wear a helmet, you're on your own with respect to safety equipment.
OK yeah sure you have to have lights, turn signals and a horn.
oh and if your 2 wheel motorcycle has three wheels, that's ok too.
4 wheels oh my, that's a passenger vehicle
you need to be protected, in fact by every mechanism known to man.
it needs to be crash tested from every angle
you need every passive device to make operating your vehicle the safest pace on earth.
it seems to me that there should be a reasonable middle ground.
start with the assumptions that perhaps you might be willing to trade some of the features for a simple quick 4 wheel motorcycle.
Just the legal equipment rules of the motorcycle.
Case in point, ford is introducing a mono posto, track car across the pond.
little 1.0 liter motor turbo'd etc. which I think would make an awesome sunny day commuter
I don't know what pricing is ( will be?) but if they hit the $25K maybe $30K range it would have to be considered.
So would you think about a single seater? and if so what price range would make it viable? or am I just looney?

This is the only single seater that I would ever consider buying: (hey, you didn't specify that it had to have 4 wheels)
