Thank you. We just got home. My father is home. He looks much better, sounds much better and is as cranky as he's ever been. This is good.
My mom is a little besides herself. My father is a demanding character and she's finally realized how tired she is. The live in aide, Mercy, seems to be very good and very attentive. All in all, things are as good we could have hoped for. The next step is the knee operation in October.
Tomorrow we're all going to sleep late and keep a low profile. Andrew is working from 4 to 9 P.M. (he's a cashier at our local A & P), but other than that we're just going to hang out with nothing particular in mind.
Saturday I worked on and finished a photo arrangement in a 16 x 20 frame for Andy's Birthday present. Then I picked up my son 25 miles away at one Yu-gi-oh card tournament and then turned around to drive him back past our house to a different Magic the Gathering, card tournament 25 miles from home in the other direction. At 6PM, I got to drive 90 miles to go join my husband and and another couple at the beach for Saturday night, with our motorhomes. I slept until 10 AM this morning with the sound of ocean waves right out my window. It was nice but too short so we'll just have to do it again next weekend but get there Friday night instead. Saturday evening, when I was coming home between dropping off my son and going to the beach, there was a group of about 8 Miatas driving thorough Acton. I wondered where they were going.
Well on Saturday AM running an employee sale for the company. In the afternoon my son-in-law is getting promoted to Chief Petty Officer. So we are going to the ceremony. In the evening we are going to a block party cook out. Sunday is sit on my large posterior and relax!
