[QUOTE=Lainey8484,Sep 23 2006, 06:49 AM] Ken,

That's almost as exciting as us. Rick is off to mow lawn at his Mom's house, I'm going jean shopping.

I am of average height, now shrunk down to 5' 5"1/2, but jeans shopping is as bad a buying a new bathingsuit. I went to the fancy story here yesterday (Dillards) and tried on all kinds of jeans, even ones that were $168, just to compare them. I did buy 1 blue jean ($58) and one stone colored pair but I'm going to try them on today and see if I really like the fit. I think the last ones I bought at JCPenney fit better. They just are a little big now.

EDIT: The new jeans are going back. The Penneys ones fit much better.
I came home with $40.00 Liz Clairborne jeans, but I had a $10.00 coupon. They are not exactly what I wanted, but after a washing or two, should be OK. I don't know how many pairs of jeans I tried on today.

I think they are making jeans bigger these days to "allow" for the ever expanding Amercian waistline. I'm pretty much the same weight as last time I bought jeans, this time the usual size in the same cut/style was too big.

I agree! I was going down a size too. Even one size down seemed big in some brands.

Right now, I'm trying not to be mad at Sam (spt-s2k):

Congrats to Sam anyway. Not his fault Honda likes him better.

Hanging out with my son a bit and working on the Healey alone. Hmmm. No one likes to work on the Healey with me.

We saw some group from Georgia last night called Widespread Panic. I did a littel clothes shopping with him and for me (shopping thing going on here I see). Now I am researching what color to paint the overdrive kick-down linkage before I attach it to the throttle linkage.

We're already making plans for me to stop by his place to drive it. I only test drove an automatic - it would be nice to try a manual.

Spoke with my salesman today - no news yet.

You British car fans would have loved the host at the B&B we stayed in outside Sperryville in the Shenandoah. He owned some great old British cars (MG, Austin Healy, Rover, and another strange sounding car name starting with an "A"). Some rare cars. Doesn't have them anymore. He told me he used to go to a British car show in Bowie, MD.

Anywho, the weekend was awesome. Our friends have a really cool house on the side of Old Rag Mountain. We ate really well - BBQ that is made onsite at a little general store, followed by grilled swordfish, scallops and veggies. Yum, yum...followed this morning by another yum breakfast at the B&B. Then we went over the mountain to Luray Caverns. Very fun road. I'd forgotten how spectacular the caverns are. Then a great drive home on some more fun back roads. All in all, a wonderful time.
