So, what are you doing this weekend?

^Well, I am trying to gather my thoughts on this. I do not have a motorcycle and I don't have any immediate plan to get one. I wanted the experience what riding a motorcycle was like. I am apprehensive about riding a motorcycle as I learned what a risky business riding a motorcycle truly is as you have to be fully focused on the business of riding a motorcycle.
I need some time to run things through in my mind as I swim laps this week. I am glad I feel this way, as I am not eagerly excited about buying a motorcycle but I am glad I learned to ride this past week. At least, I know more about motorcycle today than I did on Friday. I think it was time well spent.
I recommend the safety class for all riders. It would be a great refresher for those who have been riding for a while. Thanks for your encouragement.

Thirty four years ago, while in college, I had a motorcycle. I absolutely loved every minute of it, except for the last one. I am very lucky to have survived the last one. Even the doctors didn't think I would.
I'm not trying to discourage you, but I am very glad that you are taking the time and making the effort to think this through. Go with caution.

^Did you get helmet hair?
^The three above are my favorite place to ride. It's in the Eastern Sierra Nevadas, near Kennedy Meadows, where we have property. We ride our motorcycles on the road to get to the off-road trails. We (my husband and I) have street-legal dirt bikes. We had to add headlight kits to get a license plate.
^ This is another place we ride to once a year, but across the desert from our motorhome where we are camping. It's Randsburg, California, an old mining town. Lots of people ride there as a lunch destination.

Today +25 S2000 gathered on a member's 7 acre spread in South Jersey for our spring 'Mod Day'.....long anticipated and well attended. Although it was mostly overcast, there was occasional sun and NO r**n There were many newbies....a good thing, but also ALL the longtime Del Val members were there [charlie, zippy, mikes2k, paulieblks2k, heyitsgary, paS2K ]
Every color exept Laguna Blue was represented and the BBQ was very tasty....washed down with ample MetroNY's expert mechanic and S owner, Billman250, spent the entire day on site....performing various maintenance tasks w/o any payment [clutch tuning, hub torquing, etc].....truly a great guy, who some of you may have met at a couple FC events in the past.
Anyhow, here is the most visible of my work today....thanks to Rick & James I also installed Red-on-Sebring wheel badges and generic clear side markers (saved from my Silverstone).

While I'm thinking of it... I'm on vacation next week. Whoo hoo!
Tuesday through Sunday we'll be in St. Joseph, MI (about 3 hours north of us) for the 3000GT/Stealth owners National Gathering. I'm taking the S and will run it on a road course and autoX against a bunch of 3000GT n/a and turbo-charged VR4's. Great fun.
My wife has only entered her car ('97 3000GT SL) in the car show portion. I'm trying to talk her into the drag event as there are so few ladies all she has to do is finish the 1/4 mile and she's guaranteed a trophy. So far, no interest.
July 4th we're going down to NC to take possesion of a cabin we just bought. It's a short hour to the Dragon, so I'll be running it for the first time. Any tips?
