My good friend got married this weekend. She's irish and Catholic and he's Indian/Hindu. I've attended a Greek wedding, Jewish Wedding and now a Hinu wedding....neat experience (LONG, but cool).

Finally, finally, finally changing the location in my profile back from Singapore to SoCal! Three more days and I'm home!

Two scenarios...the calm one if my real-estate purchase does not go through (response to contract has to be in by 5 PM today), or the hectic one, where I spend time doing loan apps, and starting to make a very long list of things to do with my current and future apts. Also the +1 apt. But if the deal goes through, it will all be worth it!!

^ Well, it went through so the weekend will not be all that relaxing. Sat pm is the appraisal on my current apt (I'm refinancing and cashing out). Then Sun is the loan app on my new apt. And gotta buy the turkey, since the +1 is in charge of cooking it.

More yardwork and household chores Sat morning, dinner out with friends this evening. After church tomorrow, hopefully some relaxation and visits from two of the kids which is always very, very nice. Had an interesting tour of the Volvo/Mack/Renault assembly plant Thurs night. They use a lot of robots in the assembly process which was WOW. Those robots move around and almost look sentient. It was amazing.

Grouting tile, installing baseboards, and moving furniture. It's going to be the most fun I've ever had with my pants on, I'm certain of it.

Loading the motorhome so we can drop it off at the beach tomorrow so we'll have a spot there for Thanksgiving. It's just north of Ventura, where there's a fire burning now.

Looks like you are going to luck out on the fire, Patty. I saw it was 90% contained.

Very busy weekend. Got appraisal done on current apt and new loan done on new apt. Also got stuff in preparation for Thanksgiving dinner. We are responsible for the turkey, dressing, a pumpkin pie and wine. Had surprise tickets given to me yesterday for the Redskins game from the loan manager. Too bad the Skins lost, but the seats were fantastic - on the 30 yard line lower level. Very busy next three months coming up with much to do on current apt, new apt and more responsibilities at work.

Have been visiting with my niece and her family for Thanksgiving. Very fun...we went bowling last night. And today, the +1 and I are headed to look at appliances for the new apt. Between that and new carpet and painting, the cash will be flowing out. But it will be worth it.
