So, what are you doing this weekend?

I am planning on staying home. My 17 year-old baby girl, Christa, just had her 4 wisdom teeth pulled this morning. We are staying close to home to keep an eye on her. Just a couple hours ago she told me she felt really dizzy, and as I walked over to her she fainted and started to fall. Luckily I was able to catch her and gently lay her on the kitchen floor. She is better now that I got her to have some jello and Gatorade. Between fasting since midnight, and being put under, she was weak.

Saturday
Full day seminar for track instructors, then to the store to pick up a propane tank, then home to fire up my new grill, cook me some vegies and a steak, have some cold beer and reflect upon the day...
Sunday
Go out to the local diner for breakfast, come back and put the passenger seat back in the S; I just finished lowering it, take the driver's seat out and load the seat pan into the truck, drive out to my parent's home, put Mom's summer tires on the Outback and start to work on the driver's seat mod, I may not be able to finish it depending if I can find the right pieces of stock, drive back home in the late afternoon, fire up my new grill, cook me some vegies and a beer can chicken, have some cold beer and reflect upon the day...
I could not bring myself to lower the seat with the hammer method.

I work a 4/10 week so I had today off also. Did a lot of mundane chores around the yard and just got finished washing the S. Tomorrow I'll look at the map and head for some place in WA I haven't been before. It's predicted to be sunny and 60.
Sunday I'll load Fido up and we'll go for a hike.

It's still tax season, so we're still working 7 days a week, but we have had a temporary lull in the action and we are beginning to catch up. I think we'll only work to 5:30 tomorrow and Sunday.
If I can get home early enough maybe I can convince the family to go out for dinner. Maybe after dinner we'll just stay home, light the fireplace and spend a quiet evening together.

Saturday 8 AM off to Home Depot:
25 bags of mulch (this means only 65 more bags to buy and spread. They don't have the bulk verson of the mulch I use), fertilize lawn, plant 4 new Holly's, clean pool filter, sit my pudgy butt in a large chair outside and enjoy an adult beverage.
On the up side the last item my happen first so that rules out doing any of the above

Tommorow the 20th will mark 2 years to the day of my wifes liver transplant. We are thankfull everyday for the gift of life her cousin so unselfishly gave. Kristen risked her life by giving up 60% of her liver so my wife could have a second chance at life. On this anniversary we are attending a couple of Philadelphia Gift of Life Foundation functions trying to bring awareness to organ and tissue donation. Here are some pics of what the gift can do:

We'll be hanging around, watching snow melt! Winter won't let up around here.
We also have the pleasure of caring for our 2 1/2 year old granddaughter on Saturdays. Grandparenting is as much fun as I was told it would be.
And, on Sunday, I will begin getting things out for a week in Florida, leaving on 3/28.
Hopefully when we return, spring will be here, and we can hit the road in the "S"
