It is impossible to get a simple cell phone anymore. I just want a phone. Not even the camera. But NO.....I know everyone is using them now as their life's blood, but I ain't one of those peeps.
I've been trying to find a new phone that is easier to use for weeks now and I've looked at EVERYTHING. I've almost decided that that Jitterbug they advertise on tv for old people is probably the smarter way to go.

I'm with you Deb. My cell phone is probably 2 years old. No camera, no tricks, and I've had the internet and email turned off. I don't need to be that connected. I can use it to text, but darn those little keys are soooooooooo small.

I have a phone at home and at the office. The cell phone is just for emergencies, like ordering pizza, and a convenient way to stay in touch when I'm on the road.

Well my deal Val, it was the best mistake you ever made because it jolted me right up off my sickbed. I forget to call folks anymore but when I saw that, I forgot about being sick and jumped into action in case my Val-e needed me. I probably would have jumped in the car and headed down if you had REALLY needed me. We ended up laughing so hard, you cleared my bronchial tubes right out. So if you could just make that mistake a few more time, I'll probably be back in the saddle in no time. LOL:

Val, who else's number do you have in your phone that you can call "by mistake"?

Anyone else we haven't seen for a while?

Glad to see you G Rod.

Y'all have mentioned it; but let me encourage you cell-phone Luddites to look into the Jitterbug phone. (If I didn't use my phone for email, I would, too.) HPH

Okay, I'll bite. What features does this phone offer or not offer for the seniors.
Are the letters and numbers any bigger?
Are the keyspads any bigger?
Does it even have keys?
Can you turn the volume up real high to hear folks talk?
Can you turn the ring volume up real high?
Does it have a locator feature on it?
Does it recharge itself?
Does it glow in the dark?
Can you wear it around your neck?
Is it waterproof for when dropped down the toilet?
Can it cut itself off in church or doctor's offices?
Does it vibrate?
Just ing

Hurry up and answer all these questions, Dr. C. I'm waiting. BTW, I talked to my cellphone company today. I'm still undecided on a new phones, so I'm just going to keep the one I have for the time being. I DID get a new one for the granddaughter and cose an LG with a slideout qwerty keyboard. If she likes it and it lasts more than a month (she's death on phones), then I may get one of those.
