Thank you for all of the feedback. I think it's going to be between the Nikon and Canon SLR. I like the Nikon, but we have a nice collection of Canon lenses. I think I'm going to wait a few months to see if the prices fall. I expect that they will, and I may be able to buy the new Canon 8 megapixtal camera cheaper.

Seems like we spend half our life waiting...... I'm waiting for Big TVs to drop, fancy cameras to drop, hockey season to start, spring to get here, etc.

Here are a couple of respected photography websites that have DSLR reviews. Michael Reichmann, of The Luminous Landscape, is primarily a Canon shooter, but does have other reviews also. I have found his site to be a valuable resource as I redevelop my photography skills and continue learning Photoshop.

Thom Hogan is a Nikon guy through and through. I purchased his technical guide to the D70 and I reference it constantly as I dig deeper into the functionings of the camera.
