So, how was Christmas?

Um, it was okay. My life is in a bit of an upheaval right now but no one cried. (Well, at least no one saw.) I had my kids on Christmas morning, and they saw their Jewish dad, on Christmas night. So I went to see my dad on Christmas night. He didn't know it was Christmas, but I love him and was happy to be with him.

We chose to have an understated day. +1's been wanting some time to "do nothing" but relax. Christmas Day was just the day!! We visited kids on Christmas Eve and on Christmas Day, we simply stayed home and had a peaceful quiet day. Our youngest son came by with my youngest granddaughter for a nice little visit and we chatted with all the other kids/grandkids on the phone. It was quite wonderful. Oh, and +1 LOVES the reading chair thing I got him. We'll both enjoy that.

This was our first Christmas eve without my mother and it wasn't the same. I put out the luminaries which is a tradition in our area. I got my GPS unit on Christmas day -- I love it and I'm glad I took your recommendations and bought the unit the says the street names. At noon we hauled an entire station wagon packed full of presents over to my son's house; then later they brought the three grandkids back to our house for dinner. After about 4-hours of romp'n stomp'n race'n climb'n yell'n play'n and cry'n they went home. Always great to say good-bye

We celebrated on X-Mas eve, as usual. 3 males and 11 females present. It was nice but also a bit hormonal. Not like we're all 20 years old and on the beach in Aruba. Just kidding; my dad, son and I love our ladies.

My wife and son and I spent Christmas in Myrtle Beach, SC this year. We try to spend Christmas away, just the 3 of us. Thanksgiving is the family and friends holiday and Christmas is just us 3...usually at a beach somewhere. Christmas dinner was at Hooters this year
