You did get a good dump! Better NJ than MI.

I like this better.

just watching weather, the nor'easter has formed and eye, almost making it a wintercane.
Expecting big surf and 75 mph gusts tomorrow.

I took this picture this morning looking out of my front door. The snow had started an hour earlier.
I took this one this afternoon looking out of my kitchen door. Notice how high the snow is on the bar b que and deck rail. We measured 12" on the deck.
Adam's car after he got home from working in the library.

A few more photos.
Adam driving home from work. He left early. He got stuck one time when he stopped for a stop sign. One of the women who lives where he got stuck came out and gave him a shovel and he was able to remove the snow from around his tires and get going again. Here he's about 100 feet from our driveway.
Looking up at our deck from the back yard. Notice how bent over the trees are. They all still have their leaves and the snow made the branches very heavy. Luckily these are smaller trees and they're somewhat flexible.
These are bigger, older trees which are not nearly as flexible. These are Bradford Pear trees that line our streets. Almost every one of them lost huge branches. Some snapped up the middle. This is the one in front of my house.
Lots and lots of snow. Looks like a winter wonderland, doesn't it? It's still only October.
This after the township plow went by.
It's still snowing. We now have about 14 to 15 inches on the ground. Its supposed to continue until 2:00 am.

Thanks for the invite. It's very tempting but I can't get my car up the driveway so I can't get to the airport. Maybe next time.

I remember that, but that snow was only about an inch or two. This is a major storm. So far we've got about 14 inches on the ground.
