Here is one example of snowfall, and this is not the best example, just the best pics I have.
Notice the date in the lower right. This was taken at about 7:00 a.m. just before I left for work. I woke up and heard we were going to get blasted that day so I took this pic.
This is 24 hours later just before I left for work the following day. Not an extreme axample, but a rather normal one for around here.
Let me just say, I'm looking forward to it. The S2000 and the CRX-SiR take a nap under their blankies, the track tires go down into the basement, and I have planty of time to work on interior house projects. I look forward to the change of pace actually.
Plus, I get to drive this thing every day, and when it comes to snow, this beast rules!

You people up north are crazy!! But then I guess that is just an example of making lemonade when life hands you lemons.
Were you all dropped on your heads as a child or is that a standard child rearing practice up there so the people can tolerate the weather when they get older?

But here goes: When one works a jazz strip, you go in and out (oh Lordy) of every jazz club you can get into on the main drag (strip) listening to various artists for a little while, then moving on to the next club (sometimes they're on the sidewalks outdoors too).
If you work it right and have the stamina, you can get to hear quite a bit of really good jazz for free. Of course you have to pay to get into the auditoriums for the named artists and big events but outside on the street(s), the atmosphere is heady and at the Montreal festival, your feet don't even touch the ground as the crowds are so large you just move along wherever the sea of human bodies takes you along the strip until you can break loose. After a good night, while soaking our aching feet, around 2-3 in the morning, we slap each other 5 and say, "we worked the hell out that strip, didn't we?" Sleep all next morning and repeat the process the next night.
What strip were you thinking of, dear Lainey?
It was the "working" part that I was wondering about. Not sure if you found if new profession while in Canada.
